The Napier Aquatic Centre provides the best Holiday Programme in the region. Action packed with adventures, this programme is much more than water based activities. Our Programmes Team pride themselves on designing quality activities both on and off site that educates life skills for inquisitive young minds and bodies in a fun and safe environment.

Monday 18 December

Gingerbread Gifts

Combine your creativity and cooking skills to produce your very own edible Christmas presents made from gingerbread.

Tuesday 19 December

Wheels on Parade

Bike, scoot, skate or blade your way along Marine Parade with our instructors. We'll stop at several locations including the pump track and for ice-cream. 

Wednesday 20 December

Christmas Decorations & Cards

Get creative and arty by repurposing items into Christmas decorations.

Thursday 21 December

Orienteering at Napier Aquatic Centre

Navigate and problem solve by navigating you and your team-mates around courses at the Napier Aquatic Centre. Orienteering is fun, active and a collaborative sport.

Friday 22 December

Movie Day

We will be travelling to the movies to watch 'Wish' Have you ever made a wish to a star? Princess Asha did.

Monday 8 January

Strike it Lucky!

Join us as we travel to Hastings for a few rounds of ten pin bowling at Super Strike. After we have knocked down a few pins we will have lunch at Cornwall Park, then return to Napier Aquatic Centre for a swim. 

Tuesday 9 January

MacGyver

Can you think quick on your feet, work with others having limited resources to solve a challenge before time runs out? Test your problem solving skills in a range of fun challenges.

Wednesday 10 January

The Amazing Race Napier

Clues, roadblocks, riddles, physical challenges and detours all stand between your team and successfully finishing the Amazing Race Napier. The race will take place in Napier's CBD.

Thursday 11 January

Crafting Chains

Get creative with Jess and make your very own key chain.

Friday 12 January

Master Chef Italian Challenge

Learn how to make, toss and flip your very own pizza base before adding on your favourite toppings to enjoy at lunch.

Orienteering

Master Chef Sweet Treats

Create a range of sugar rich candy and treats that can be shared at home.

Hole in One

Come with us to Par 2 Mini Golf for a few rounds. Enjoy a relaxing soak back at the pools in the afternoon.

Thursday 18 January

Bird Spotting

How many species of NZ bird can you spot at the Airport Estuary? Get curious and observe each bird in action with the expert guidance from the staff of the National Aquarium of New Zealand.

Friday 19 January

Movie Day

Come with us to watch the new release movie, Migration, where an unlucky group of feathered friends go on an adventure.. the wrong way.

Monday 22 January

Master Chef Battle of the Burgers

A great burger starts and ends with the bun, so that's what you will make. Next you will be able to create your own mouth-watering masterpiece to enjoy at lunch.

Tuesday 23 January

Flip-Tastic

We're heading to Omni Gym where you will be able to jump, climb, spin and flip on all the fun equipment.

Wednesday 24 January

Bay Skate

Get your wheels and have a blast at Bay Skate. If you don't have any it's no problem, there's plenty there to pick from.

Thursday 25 January

Wagon Wheel Relays

Take part in a team, earn points, have fun taking on a range of challenges against other teams. 

Friday 26 January

Party Time

Come and celebrate the end of the holidays at our Holiday Programme DISCO. Lots of prizes including best dressed and best dance move.

The structured programme runs from 9:00am - 3:00pm each day. 

Children can be dropped off from 7:30am and collected by 3:30pm. After care is available at an additional cost until 5:30pm.

Daily Rate:
Per Child: $39

Weekly Rate:
Per Child: $185

After Care:
Per Child: Additional $9
*from 3:30pm - 5:30pm

All children must bring the following:

  • Swimming Togs
  • Sunhat
  • Closed-Toe Shoes
  • Jacket
  • Packed Lunch
  • Water Bottle

The Napier Aquatic Centre accepts WINZ subsidies. If you wish to be eligible for a subsidy please contact the programme coordinator for more advice. If you want to register your child with an OSCAR subsidy you must do so with the programme coordinator at the centre. You can do this at the time of booking.

Please bring all the relevant forms that are required to be filled out for your application. We have full application forms and declarations at the centre if needed.

All OSCRAR Subsidies must be processed at least two weeks before the holidays start. (Late forms are accepted on a case-by-case basis).

If your child is sick or unable to attend the programme the direct line to the Holiday Programme is 027 413 7697. Please text, call or leave a message on this number during programme hours only. 

A credit will be given only if notice is given before 8:00am on the morning of your booking and upon sighting a medical certificate. You are still liable for costs if you decide your child will not be attending. No refunds will be given and once you have booked the days they are final.
