Napier Aquatic Centre Level 2

With the announcement of New Zealand moving into Level 2 at 12pm on the 12th August, we will be re-implementing restrictions within our facility. The health and well being of our customers, team and community is our number 1 priority. .

To ensure our team members and customers are kept safe, we have re-introduced social distancing in our pools.

This means we have to offer a limited access and session times. You’ll still be able to get your daily swim.  We will be offering 1 hour swim sessions per person, with a maximum of 2 people per lane.

We are unable to offer birthday parties, group and family gatherings or BBQ facilities.  We will be offering the two lap pools only, with no access to slides, spas, kids pool, playground etc.  The lap pools are strictly for lane swimming/walking only, with no leisure play available at this time.

We have closed our changing rooms, so please arrive in your swimming attire and leave the same way.  We will have toilet facilities available, on a one in one out basis.

All Aqua Fitness classes will remain active, but will be capped at 40 people per class.

The following Swimming Lessons have been cancelled until further notice:

Water Babies, Water Tots 1 and 2, Preschool 1, 2 and 3, Beginner 1 and 2, Junior Breather and Learner Breather

We will be taking details of all customers entering the complex.  Our friendly receptionist will be asking you a few questions EVERY time you enter. To help with social distancing, you will notice we have marked our floors to help you keep safe.  Please use these markers at all times. Although our offices will be open, we will not be taking face to face queries.  Correspondence will be limited to phone and email.

We  have always had strict sanitation, handwashing, and health and wellness policies for our employees. Hygiene champions are dedicated to each shift, ensuring sanitising all contact surfaces.  Extra cleaning and sanitising will be carried out during the day to keep both our staff and our valued customers safe.  We have several sanitising stations throughout the complex, so please ensure you use these upon entry and exit of facility.  Most importantly, if you are feeling unwell please stay at home.
